It's worth the little extra money to stay in one of these lovely rooms. At night it caused the room to become lit up quite a bit from the green light of the smoke detector. It's a little out of the way to have to take two separate elevators but not a big deal once you see the room that you get. Providing direct access to the scenic San Antonio Riverwalk, this hotel features an outdoor rooftop swimming pool, indoor pool and 2 whirlpools. The breakfast is wonderful with french toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, fruit and yogurt being served. Both The Mark and Crosby Street Hotel are highly recommended by professional travelers. The room was very big and beautifully decorated in sage green and brown colors. This hotel is a steal for what they offer. My daughter got a kick out of the player piano in the lobby--she'd never seen one before. We could choose between terraces, 2 room suite, and rooms with microwave & fridges. The valet parking is $18.00 per night, but parking anywhere on the riverwalk is expensive. Safety is a must though as I know. Our room had a super comfy king sized bed in a separate bedroom area with huge flat screen television. We booked our room on Drury Inns website & got a great rate. We stayed in one of the brand new terrace suites and loved it! We were very impressed. We were very impressed. With the thing out of reach on a 12 foot ceiling, the guy at the front desk seemed at a loss about how to solve the problem and basically suggested that I put up with it until their maintenance staff arrived in the morning. In addition to this, they serve a full breakfast every morning and provide coffee/tea/soft drinks/popcorn until 10:00 p.m. each evening. We chose the Terrace overlooking the riverwalk. If you can't find something at breakfast that you like, you are way too picky. It's on a quiet section of the Riverwalk, but it's just a short walk to all the hustle and bustle. The kids loved the free popcorn and sodas. The Drury actually paid to extend the riverwalk to the hotel, so you have only to step downstairs and out the door and you are there! Large clean room. The original rooms of the hotel are nice but do not compare to the new terrace suites. It was nice to sit and have a drink while discussing your many options for dinner. No big issues. Fair rates. It sits directly on the Riverwalk, but a few blocks down from the busier portions.
